Evidence for Coronal Temperature Variation in Seyfert 2 ESO 103–035 Using NuSTAR Observations

چکیده
We report flux-resolved spectroscopic analysis of the active galactic nucleus (AGN) ESO 103–035 using NuSTAR observations. Following an earlier work, we fit spectra a thermal Comptonization model with relativistic reflection component to obtain estimates coronal temperature for two flux levels. The was found increase from (errors at 1? confidence level) as increased 9.8 11.9 × 10?11 erg cm?2 s?1 in 3–78 keV band. A marginal variation high energy photon index allows both nonvarying optical depth and have varied by factor ?2. This is contrast previous work on spectroscopy AGN, Ark 564, where decrease along 10% depth. results may be understood framework AGN variability either dominated heating leading correlated or opposite effect being seen when changes seed flux.

RXTE observations of Seyfert-2 galaxies: evidence for spectral variability
We present a series of RXTE observations of the nearby obscured Seyfert galaxies ESO103-G35, IC5063, NGC4507 and NGC7172. The period of monitoring ranges from seven days for NGC7172 up to about seven months for ESO103-G035. The spectra of all galaxies are well fit with a highly obscured (NH > 10 23 cm) power-law and an Fe line at 6.4 keV. We find strong evidence for the presence of a reflection...
متن کاملSeyfert 2 Galaxies with Spectropolarimetric Observations
We present a compilation of radio, infrared, optical and hard X-ray (2-10kev) data for a sample of 90 Seyfert 2 galaxies(Sy2s) with spectropolarimetric observations (41 Sy2s with detection of polarized broad lines (PBL) and 49 without PBL). Compared to Sy2s without PBL, Sy2s with PBL tend to be earlier-type spirals, and show warmer mid-infrared color and significant excess of emissions (includi...
متن کاملThe coronal parameters of local Seyfert galaxies
One of the open problems for AGN is the nature of the primary X-ray emission: it is likely due to Comptonization of soft UV photons, but the optical depth and temperature of the emitting corona were largely unknown before the launch of the Nuclear Spectroscopic Telescope Array (NuSTAR). It is the first focusing hard X-ray telescope on orbit, 100 times more sensitive in the 10-79 keV band compar...
متن کاملTwo-temperature Coronal Models from Soho/eit Observations
We present a method for deriving a twoÈthermal-component approximation to the di†erential emission measure distribution of plasma in the SunÏs corona in the temperature range to which the ExtremeUltraviolet Imaging Telescope (EIT) on the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO) spacecraft is sensitive. EIT takes high-resolution full-disk coronal images in three of its four optimized channels b...
متن کاملα Centauri: coronal temperature structure and abundances from ASCA observations
We have analyzed the X-ray spectrum of the nearby binary α Cen AB (G2V + K1V) that has been obtained from observations with ASCA. The coronal temperature structure and abundances have been derived from multi-temperature fitting and confirmed by a differential emission measure analysis. The corona as seen by ASCA is essentially isothermal with a temperature around 0.3 keV, consistent with the ev...
